John George Diefenbaker (; September 18, 1895 – August 16, 1979) was the 13th prime minister of Canada from 1957 to 1963. Between 1930 and 1979, he was the only federal Progressive Conservative (PC or Tory) leader to lead the party to an election victory, doing so three times, although only once with a majority of seats in the House of Commons of Canada.

Seu governo foi marcado pela aprovação da Declaração dos Direitos dos canadenses. Enfrentou constantes faltas de apoio político dentro do Parlamento, mas manteve-se firme no cargo. No âmbito internacional, foi uma das vozes mais atuantes dentro da Commonwealth contra o apartheid na África do Sul. Também desempenhou importante papel no cancelamento do polêmico Projeto Arrow. Apesar de não muito popular durante seu governo, a reputação de Diefenbaker cresceu depois que deixou o cargo.

Il est le 13e Premier ministre du Canada du 21 juin 1957 au 22 avril 1963 et le seul du Parti progressiste-conservateur (PC) entre 1935 et 1979. Les luttes internes au sein du parti furent apaisées par les succès électoraux de Diefenbaker mais elles émergèrent à nouveau après la perte du pouvoir en 1963. Ses opposants forcèrent l'organisation d'une élection interne en 1967 et Diefenbaker fut battu par Robert Stanfield. Il resta député jusqu'à sa mort en 1979.
